In May 2026, we partnered with 165-game Saint/Hawk Shane Savage to put together an invitational pilot program for talented footy players that were nominated by their clubs to trial for the St Kilda Next Gen program, but were not successful this year. The 8-week program was limted to U13 boys and capped at 10 spaces to ensure a focussed and intimate training experience.

The sessions, which include a mixture of drills, theory and mini games, focus on preparation, goal setting, in game IQ, decision-making and high energy skill development.

This pilot program filled up within a few days after contacting just four local clubs (Dolphins, Mt Eliza, YCW & Rovers), and has been recieved incredibly well. In future, we are plannig to replicate the offering to include:

- More neighbouring clubs

- Girls cohorts

- More age groups

- Larger groups / open invitation
